Foldaway Sauna FAQ's
Infrared saunas warm your body directly by the heat of infrared lamps. Infrared saunas do not require as much heat to be effective as a dry sauna or steam sauna.
After stepping out of the at-home sauna, allow the sauna and the attached negation ion generator to run for an additional 5 minutes. Then wipe the inside of the Foldaway Sauna with a damp towel. Use soap if desired. Do not use chemical cleaners.
If you wish to store the Foldaway Sauna, make sure the inside is completely dry before folding and storing.
Consult a medical doctor before using the Foldaway Sauna if you are pregnant.

Negative ion generation is a function that is always running in the UltraLux Infrared Foldaway Sauna. This function produces negative ions, which can be beneficial in combating damaging positive ions in the air. Negative ions also help consolidate sweat and bacteria particles making it easier to clean up after a relaxing session.
110 to 140°F. At lower temperatures that are closer to 110°F, you will experience increased detoxification. At higher temperatures that are around 130 to 140°F, you will experience a greater level of sweating.
The Kendall’s Wilhelm Foldaway Sauna chair is made of bamboo. We chose this material because the plastic in a standard folding chair will put off fumes if used in an infrared sauna because of the heat.
Because the Kendall’s Wilhelm Sauna is a home sauna, children can safely use the Kendall’s Wilhelm Foldaway Sauna with adult supervision. Make sure that your child is situated so that his or her head sticks through the collar of the sauna.
The elderly and those with mobility issues can safely use the Foldaway Sauna to sauna at home with assistance.
We suggest wearing clean, loose clothing made of cotton or breathable material, a swimming suit, a towel, or no clothes at all. Choose what you are most comfortable with.
Be sure that you do not wear any metal inside the sauna, as it will become hot. This includes jewelry and any clothing with underwires.
You will sweat during your sauna session, so make sure you are well hydrated before, during, and after using the UltraLux Foldaway Sauna. You can drink water while you’re using the Foldaway Sauna. However, we recommend that you drink water beforehand, as this gives your body a chance to get ready for the heat and detox of your sauna session.
We also recommend that you drink water after your sauna session to rehydrate your body. You may find adding electrolytes to your water beneficial.
Yes! Like most portable infrared saunas, the Foldaway Sauna features openings that you can move your hands through, as well as a collar to put your head and neck through. So you can read, watch TV, or listen to music or an audiobook with ease during your sauna session. There are pockets just under the hand openings that you can store a book, phone, or remote control in while you are entering or exiting the Foldaway Sauna. The UltraLux Foldaway Sauna is perfect to be used as a home sauna.
Warm, cozy, and relaxed at the beginning of your session. During the last portion of your session, your heart rate and sweating will increase, but your comfort level will remain the same.
After your sauna session, we recommend that you take a few minutes to relax and cool down while your body continues to sweat. Then take a shower. This allows you to more fully experience the benefits of your infrared sauna.
When you begin using your new portable infrared sauna at home, we recommend that you limit your sessions to one per week. After your body has had some time to adjust, you can increase to three to four times per week.

Unfortunately, no, you cannot.
White Glove Delivery is the method by which each Perfect Sleep Chair is delivered to you. It includes delivery to your home, unpacking of the chair, placing it in the location you’ve chosen and ensuring that the chair is functional. Finally, all packaging materials are removed and hauled away for you. Note: You must have a clear path and a location available for us to place the chair in.
With White Glove delivery, the timing of delivery depends largely on time it takes to schedule an appointment with the customer. We usually have chairs in stock and so they can be setup for delivery within a few days, and actual delivery can take another 3-5 days. Occasionally, some models may be on backorder for a period of time as we have a high demand for these unique chairs. Our sales specialists or customer service agents can provide more specific information by model.

While our chairs are made of stain-resistant fabrics, there may come a time when you need to clean it. To do so, simply mix a little soap and water and scrub the area in need of cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaners as these could cause problems with your materials.
